Happy holidays and happy planning!
Most of the band convened in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this past week for our annual Holiday Party, where we reminisced over a great year! We drank wine, ate some of Mike’s homemade Chili and recorded some Christmas tunes for ol’ times sake. Enjoy our little jam session on the holiday classic, “Walking in a Winter Wonderland”.
We all hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
This is one of our absolute favorites to perform this time of the year. As it popped up in my iTunes shuffle today, I thought to myself “I need to share this with everyone I can!”, so here goes. The exquisite Ms. Ella Fitzgerald on a holiday classic “What Are You Doing New Years Eve?”.
From our hearts to yours . . . The Lowdown Stompers hope you’re having a great holiday season.
This band is A LOT of fun – so come hang out with us! Reservations highly encouraged.
Hello out there!
We’ve been having a banner summer, and we’re just getting started! Thank you to all wonderful people who have had us play at your events! We live for entertaining and the fact that we get to do this for a living still hasn’t set in yet.
We’ve begun booking for the fall and beyond, so if you’re looking for a band that’s playing that good ol’ music from yesteryear, we’d love meet you!
Lots of love,

We had SUCH a good time last summer in Red Hook playing for our friends Supria and Mike at The Liberty Warehouse last summer. They asked us to lead them down the aisle in a second line parade, and we happily obliged!!
It’s looking pretty snowy in the Tri-State area today. We thought we’d share our favorite wintry-mix jazz standard in case you needed some motivation to get out of your warm bed. Enjoy some Ella Fitzgerald!
If you’ve seen the Stompers at a show or a private event we’ve played, then you’ve heard the trumpet of our fearless bandleader Mike Sailors.
Join us and him on January 31st at our Upper East Side home, Cavatappo, for a night of celebration and music! Mike is turning 34, and he’ll have a great band (made up of some of the stompers) in tow.
Cavatappo has GREAT food, and of course the music will be grand. Join us on the 31st from 9-11!
Drop us a line and let us know if you plan on attending! We’ll make sure you get a spot close to the band.
We’ll be appearing at The House of Wax (located in the brand-spankin’ new Alamo Drafthouse in downtown Brooklyn) on December 15th and 16th, where we’ll be providing the music for their premiere of La La Land.
The Alamo Drafthouse, for the uninitiated, is a really hip movie theatre from Austin, Texas. They have a great menu and an awesome selection of local and imported beers. The House of Wax is located inside the theatre, and is a funky little dive bar – perfect environs for us!
Each night, we’ll be playing from 7-11pm. There’s no cover, and you don’t need to purchase a ticket to come see us, but we highly suggest you check out La La land, as it’s a great film. We may even do some songs from the soundtrack – who knows!
